New Feature in UDS DACH ONLINE – Precisely Adjust Elevations and Flexibly Control Slopes
 

A new feature is now available in the UDS DACH ONLINE drawing tool that allows users to precisely adjust the starting elevation of drainage objects. After selecting a drainage object—such as a drain or a gutter—the new “Elevation Adjustment” feature can be used to change the elevation of that object by the desired number of gradient steps.

Headline

  • Select the desired drainage object.
  • Then enable the function by checking the box in the control panel.
  • An input field will then appear where you can enter the desired number of slope steps.
  • The selected drainage object is then raised accordingly.
  • In the drawing, this change is visualized by displaying the steps on the drainage object.

Your Benefits

This adjustment has a direct impact on the roof’s overall slope configuration. Since the drainage spots significantly determine the direction and type of slope panels, the changed starting height also affects the subsequent roof covering.

> This allows for more precise control of the slope structure and makes it easier to adapt to structural constraints.

An additional practical advantage: In certain cases, the height adjustment feature can also be used to specifically simplify complex or unfavorable slope layouts. For example, if drainage points are spaced at an unfavorable distance from one another, a standard configuration with a uniform starting height often results in an unnecessarily large number of valley and ridge rows.

This feature offers a significant advantage, particularly when dealing with more complex roof geometries or optimizing slope profiles: Designers can quickly adjust the elevation of individual drainage points without having to completely rebuild the roof.
