The new mode allows you to easily and automatically trace exact right angles on obliquely captured building outlines, without having to rotate or manually adjust the image.

With the previously known “Orthogonal” function, right angles on straight building outlines can be traced very easily and quickly. Thanks to the built-in automatic, there was no need to worry about precision. This function has now been meaningfully expanded: with the new “Orthogonal relative” mode, the orientation of the image no longer matters. The next point of the line to be drawn is automatically entered at a right angle relative to the previously drawn line.

One thing is clear – this new function will be used often. Most building outlines are available as a scanned sketch, aerial photograph, screenshot or as-built plan. Although these outlines are predominantly rectangular in geometry, they may be captured in a rotated perspective. This is no longer a problem with the new function. Even with a rotated top view, it is possible to create precise right angles and straight lines.

Incidentally, a combination of the two functions “Orthogonal” and “Orthogonal relative” can also make sense in some cases. This is always the case when particularly complex roof outlines involve many different angles. This is where the strengths of the two functions come to the fore: precision and speed.
