New function in UDS DACH ONLINE 
Start of covering can now be set individually

The UDS TAPER ONLINE software has been extended to include a new, practical function that offers you even more flexibility in planning. From now on, you can set the start of covering for the insulation panels yourself – a feature that offers great advantages, especially for complex floor plans or individual requirements.

 

Previously, the start of covering was automatically set by an algorithm based on criteria such as the longest line or the nearest 90° angle. In most cases, this results in an optimal installation of the insulation boards – but there are also situations in which your expertise and experience could enable an even better solution. Especially for layouts with different angles or special shapes, such as those with bulges, manually defining the start of covering can ensure that more whole boards can be used, thus reducing waste.

The advantages of this new function are obvious: you save material, time and money. Clever placement of the start of installation results in material-saving insulation installation, reduces the amount of cutting required and ensures faster, easier implementation on the construction site, making the entire process more efficient. At the same time, you make a small contribution to sustainability by reducing insulation waste. 

 

 

And how does it work?

In the “Drainage” step, you will now find a new button that allows you to set the start of covering manually. The placement is then visualized directly in the drawing so that you can always see the starting point. If you notice during processing that a different position would be better, the start of covering can be reset at any time.
